This month, our nonprofit was able to donate to students, educators, and counselors for back to school. We know how stressful the beginning of the year can be, so we wanted to be able to relieve some of that stress. Although we didn’t have a physical event, there were so many educators who created amazon wishlists for their classrooms, so we gave back in that way. It truly brings us joy to be able to support our supporters because without y’all, there would be no Hopeful Heartbreakers.
September 14 is National Coloring Day! A very generous donor donated these beautiful coloring books and crayons for the littles. I absolutely love these books because they emphasize the color in the world. I don’t know about y’all, but I don’t remember any coloring books that showed black people on the cover. And because we recognize that representation is literally everything, HHB will be donating these coloring books to a Kindergarten class at César Chávez Learning Center in Dallas, TX.
As always, we thank y’all for the support of our nonprofit. I continue to be blown away by all of the donations, literary and monetary, and we just can’t thank you enough for the support. If you haven’t already, you can support by liking our nonprofit page, donating a book or two (inbox me for details), or even cashapping a few dollars if you have it. We accept it all. Thank you!
