Since making her debut in the literary world in 2016, ashley has written the most complex and bittersweet love stories with one thing in common – no matter the circumstances life seems to throw at her leading couples, fate always has the final say so.
She believes that there should be more stories that truly show that while love can be a beautiful thing, there are many sides to it. The pure, untainted side that comes effortlessly or the intense, bittersweet side that requires a fight; a love that is worth it even if it doesn’t always work the way they envisioned.
Her goal is to give life to characters so real that you manage to find a piece of yourself in them as well as their situation. With a steadily growing catalog, ashley has no plans to stop providing the stories that deserve to be told.
1. Tell me about your latest book and why you wrote it?
My latest release, Rather Be With You, is about a couples vacation that’s supposed to be stress free and help with reconnecting the main characters but it goes downhill quickly. I wanted to write something different and not so heavy. It’s just a cute love story about leaving the past where it is and accepting certain situations for what they are.
2. How many books have you written ? Which is your favorite?
I’ve written twenty-four books with twenty of them currently available.
3. What is the most difficult part of your artistic process?
Probably focusing on one story at a time. There’s some much inspiration and so many characters and stories, it can be overwhelming working on one at a time when others are speaking to you.
4. Do you hide any secrets in your books that only a few people will find?
Yes. Sometimes it will be simple stuff like character names having a meaning that connects to the title or theme of the story or sometimes it will be a quirk the character has that makes them do (or not do) certain things.
