Heartbreak Who?

Hopeful Heartbreakers has an ongoing joke about the group’s founders. Since there are three of us, we always compare ourselves to TLC, and we all have a difference of opinion of who should be who. I’m not gon’ get on who’s who here, although I will say that I’m the real T-Boz. Since those heffas always wanna claim I’m Left Eye, I decided to do a lil’ comparison of my own.

As I’m sure many of you already know, Hopeful Heartbreakers was inspired by the Heartbreak U series by Johnni Sherri. So, it’s only right that we do a lil’ sumn with her characters.

Niggas ain’t shit.”

Qiana Mae Jones, the carefree one of the group, is our Franki because Franki ain’t gaf. She pretty much did and said whatever she wanted, and those around her just had to deal with it. It took that one special man to really reel her in, and I think we can all agree that that’s Mae 100%.

Franki was the character that was outwardly the least vulnerable, but at the same time, one of the most sensitive. Our little Qiana Mae is like an egg — hard on the outside but soft on the inside.

He was disgusting looking with a gold diamond grill in his mouth and tattoos covering his entire neck. Even the flashy jewelry he had on was gaudy, from all the gold the diamonds glittering around his wrists.”

The country, ghetto, rugged yet loving character with the country drawl...yup, that’s Rahel Marie Jackson, also known as Malachi. Malachi had this swag about him that was so ghetto and pimp-like, and we all know that Rahel Marie is the pimp of the Heartbreakers.

Rahel is our male author ambassador because she is so laid back and is able to relate to men in a way that me and Qiana don’t (that’s just a nice way to say she’s mannish af).

Malachi’s character was a fan favorite, and I will say that Rahel and all of her friendliness is probably a favorite among our group members as well. I guess...

“What’s your name?” He asked as we continued to walk along.

“Hope,” I told him. For some reason, he attempted to suppress a laugh.

“What? What’s so funny?”

“Nothing, it just suits you I guess. All wholesome and pure...”

Yup. That’s me, JG, the wholesome Heartbreaker. Like Hope, I try to mind my business, read my books, and do my blog posts, but Franki and Malachi are horrible influences and always bring me into their shenanigans. As the innocent Heartbreaker, I tend to keep to myself and not socialize as much as the other two, so I am often times misunderstood. You gotta hang around long enough to see things my way, but once you’re there, you won’t wanna leave.

So, Heartbreakers, what do you think? Who do you think is who?
